- The ministry of Foreign Affairs is currently on strike. This means that diplomats and others that are exempt from duties must wait until the strike is over in order for import shipments to clear customs tax exempt. (13.01.2011)

- Customs and the Israel Port Authority have reached an agreement regarding the "Port Tax" (Mas Nemal) and port fees for ocean shipments. The agreement raises THC (Terminal Handling Charges) and other port fees.
It is now more important than ever to make sure any quote to or from Israel lists these fees. These fees will vary from Ship line to Ship line, and shipping company to shipping company. (24.11.2011)
